Hence the suckering clumps of bamboo like stems up to 3metres tall ... Its palmate leaves are pleated with a silver reverse and fully evergreen ... Lineatus likes a moist semi-shade position and can make a large plant so choose location carefully ... Removing last years canes enhances the young and vigorous new shoots ... I found this plant in western China , and have been impressed Ever since ... Endemic to eastern and southern Asia, in China, Bhutan, north east India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal and north Vietnam ...Family: Rosaceae..
