Description
Pieris japonica ‘Compacta’ – A neat, slow-growing evergreen shrub ideal for Australian gardens in cooler regions. This compact variety forms a rounded mound of glossy, dark green foliage that provides year-round interest. In late winter to early spring, it produces graceful clusters of creamy-white, bell-shaped flowers that resemble lily-of-the-valley. Perfect for shaded or semi-shaded spots, it prefers cool, moist, acidic soils and protection from hot afternoon sun. Grows to around 1–1.5 m high and wide, making it excellent for containers, borders, or as a feature shrub.
