Extremely rare evergreen Gondwana beauty . Most southerly growing tree in the world & surprisingly hardy for most gardens. A medium-sized to large , densely leafy, evergreen tree,of columnar habit at least when young. Leaves ovate or roundish, usually less than 2.5cm long, dark shining green and toothed, closely arranged on the branchlets.Beautiful smooth bark army green , small whitish markings . One of my favourite trees.
