Description
Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Veitchii’ – A stunning, hardy lacecap hydrangea suited to cool–temperate areas of Australia. This deciduous shrub produces large, flat flower heads with pure white sterile florets surrounding a centre of tiny fertile blooms, aging to soft pink or blue depending on soil pH. Blooms in summer, attracting bees and butterflies. Grows around 1.5–2 m high and wide, thriving in part shade with moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage strong growth. Protect from hot afternoon sun and drying winds for best results.
