Description
Fuchsia magellanica ‘Variegata’ is a stunning variation of hummingbird fuchsia, hardy fuchsia, or chilco (derived from Mapudungun: chillko, meaning "watery"). This beautiful semi-evergreen perennial shrub boasts exquisite green and white variegated foliage, and in the fall and summer, its small frame is covered in delicate burgundy, purple, and red flowers. It attracts bees and small native birds, including hummingbirds, making it a perfect addition to pollinator gardens. This shrub is native to the lower Southern Cone of southern South America and belongs to the Onagraceae family.
