Description
A magnificent evergreen shrub with very large, semi-double to peony-form blooms in rich rose-pink, sometimes flushed with deeper tones. Flowering from late winter into spring, it provides a brilliant seasonal display against dark, glossy foliage. Ideal for a feature plant in part shade, sheltered from hot afternoon sun and strong winds. Thrives in slightly acidic, well-drained soils. In Australian gardens it typically grows 3–4 m high and 2–3 m wide.
