Description
A stunning evergreen shrub valued for its exceptionally large, semi-double to peony-form flowers in soft rose-pink, often with delicate shading. Blooming from late winter through spring, it creates a brilliant display against glossy dark green foliage. Best grown in part shade with protection from hot afternoon sun and strong winds. Prefers slightly acidic, well-drained soil. In Australian gardens it typically reaches 3–4 m high and 2–3 m wide.
