Description
A large shrub or small growing tree with grey bark. The white to pale pink flowers are sweetly scented. Be mindful of the fig-shaped fruit capsules which contains poisonous seeds. Commonly known as California Buckeye or California horse-chestnut. Full sun to part shade. beneficial for butterflies as its flowers provide nectar and pollen, while some species serve as a larval host plant for certain butterfly species
