Description
Ilex vomitoria 'Pendula' (Weeping Yaupon Holly)
Ilex vomitoria 'Pendula' is a distinctive evergreen holly with gracefully arching branches and small, glossy green leaves. It can grow up to 4–6 metres in height and 3–4 metres in width. Female plants produce bright red berries in winter, adding seasonal interest when pollinated by a male.
It thrives in warm temperate to subtropical regions of Australia, tolerating a wide range of soils, including sandy and poor soils.
Tip: Ideal for specimen planting or as a small weeping tree. The berries are toxic to humans but attract wildlife.
