smaller leafed , more compact bushy form , excellent ground cover with masses of white small perfumed flower.
A dwarf shrub of remarkably distinct appearance, suitable for mild districts, and esspecially for maritime exposures, where it will take the full blast of sea winds. Leaves obovate, up to 15cm long, dark green, white-felted beneath. The large, yellow-centred, white aster-like flowers are carried singly on sniff, errect, white-tomentose stems during late summer.
A deciduous tree closely related to the witch-hazel. Has a beautiful foliage display in addition to being low maintenance. In addition, the older branches and trunks offer colour interest in winter as well as tiny red flowers during the same period.

(Mock Orange) An arching deciduous shrub with a compact habit. Flowers profusely from late spring to early winter with the large white blooms having pale purple centres. Great for mixed garden borders.
